Dramfool Glenmarvellous #5

We’re very pleased to announce that our 70th release is a rather marvellous offering from Glenmarvellous. This is our first release of a whisky matured in an Amontillado Barrique, and what a belter it is! It was filled on the 8th June 2011 and bottled at cask strength of 61.8% on the 12th March 2024 after being fully matured for 12 years in an Amontillado Barrique #900164.

This bottle is our Spirit of Speyside 2024 offering, and we are extremely proud of it! Our 5th release of Glenmarvellous, and our 5th different cask type to boot!

Tasting Notes by Dramfool

Nose neat: Rich chocolate and coffee, morello cherries, bakewell tarts, wood putty, coffee and walnut cake.

Taste neat: Lots of red fruit, cherries, raspberries, red apples, chocolate, mocha and chocolate raisins.

Nose diluted: More chocolate and coffee, Camp Coffee, Jelly Babies, treacle toffee, gooseberries and chocolate limes.

Taste diluted: Much fruitier with water! Cherries, chocolate limes and Caramac. Fantastic - and NO SULPHUR!
